Electronic versions of the dictionary

You can download the Multilingual Demographic Dictionary in different electronic formats. These available files don't incorporate the most recent changes done in the dictioanary.

You can also generate, in HTML file format, the last version of the dictionary or a multilingual cross index on the website http://www.demopaedia.org/tools/.

Paper versions of the dictionary

You can order a printed version of the dictionary on Lulu. Lulu.com is a service of print on demand publishing. You can pay in different currencies (Euros, US$, Pounds...) or using Paypal. Books could be deliver all around the world. Price depends on the quality (paperback or hard cover), local taxes and cost of delivering.

Dictionaries have been composed using opensource fonts: Linux Libertine and FreeSerif.

Availability of the unified second edition of the dictionary in other languages

The harmonization process of the second editions if the dictionary is currently ongoing:

• the Italian volume is almost finished (completion of the index ongoing);
• the English volume should be available before the end of 2012;
• the work on the Czech edition is ongoing;
• harmonization of Chinese, German, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese and Spain volumes will start as soon as the unified English volume will be available;
• new translation in Indonesian, Korean, Malay, Nepali, Thai and Vietnamese started during an international workshop held in Chiang Mai the 30-31 August and 1st of September.

Disponibilité de la seconde édition du dictionnaire unifié dans d'autres langues

Le processus d'harmonisation des secondes éditions du dictionnaire dans d'autres langues est en cours :

• la version italienne est pratiquement achevée (création d'un index complet en cours) ;
• la version anglaise devrait être achevée avant fin 2012 ;
• la version tchèque est en cours d'harmonisation ;
• le travail d'harmonisation des versions allemande, chinoise, japonaise, espagnole, polonaise et portugaise pourra commencer dès que l'édition anglaise sera disponible ;
• les traductions en coréen, indonésien, malais, népalais, thaï, vietnamien commenceront durant l'atelier programmé à Chiang Mai les 30-31 août et 1er septembre.

Disponibilità della seconda edizione del dizionario armonizzata nelle altre lingue

La procedura di armonizzazione delle seconde edizioni del dizionario nelle altre lingue è in corso di realizzazione:

• la versione italiana è praticamente completa (creazione di un indice completo in corso di realizzazione);
• la versione inglese sarà completata per il convegno organizzato dall'Asian Population Association di fine agosto;
• la versione ceca è in corso di armonizzazione;
• il lavoro di armonizzazione delle versioni tedesca, cinese, giapponese, spagnola, polacca e portoghese potrà iniziare quando l'edizione inglese sarà disponibile;
• le traduzioni in coreano, indonesiano, malese, nepalese, thai e vietnamita cominceranno durante il congresso programmato a Chiang Mai il 30, 31 agosto e 1 settembre.
